A little history…

My art process can be very personal, playful, traditional and satirical. Growing up in New England, I found myself capturing, recording and transforming moments in time with family and friends into a tangible image, when words could not contain my imagination. Many things around the house were sacrificed for the sake of art. Lordy, trying to explain my world or mind all the time was hard, when my hands kept going. Drawing, painting or snapping photos with a polaroid when I was a child was my salvation and means of communication. To my parents’ dismay and then joy, I finished my art education at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where I was able to create my vision without sacrificing a shower curtain, a wall, or a wax candle for art. Through the years, influenced by these experiences, I have hoped to illuminate moments in time or of my imagination. This is just a select collection of some of my favorites over the years, as an artist, teacher, and art therapist.

Please let me know if you see something you like, or we can imagine something new together and take it from there. Thanks for visiting!
